Chef is an American comedian film written, produced and directed by Jon Favreau. It talks about how Carl as a chef being restricted by his employer on doing what he wants, how he finally being able to break the rule and create something sensational, and also about how he worked on fixing the broken connection with his son and his former wife after the divorcement. The film starts by showing that Carl Casper as the head chef of a renowned restaurant Gauloise in Los Angeles wholly owned by Rita. He is determined to create something unique to welcome the food critic, Ramsey Michel but it was not allowed by the owner who wants Carl to stick to his old recipe which had lasted for the past ten years. It causes Carl a really nasty review written by the critic and it went viral on a social networking site, Twitter. Carl write back to Ramsey’s tweet without knowing it was public. His former colleague from Gauloise, Martin came all the way from Los Angeles to help Carl on building the business. The three of them start the journey back to Los Angeles and stop at cities and therefore officially starting the business. They were selling Cubano sandwiches, Austin Midnight, Yucca fries and so on and it has become a big hit all thanks to Percy who have been promoting the business using social networking sites. When they were back in Los Angeles, Carl realized that it meant a lot to spend time with his son and it was an enjoyable trip with him, he then called Percy to ask for his help for the business but the deal is that Percy can only work after school hours and on weekends. Ramsey then came to take a look at the business and explained how thrilled he is that Carl was back on his track again instead of sticking to the same old menu.
