As an individual I understand the importance of engineering in modern day society, engineering is constantly taking up more crucial roles in today's world, with so many branches, in so many places it's rather spectacular that engineering can be found in the simplest of things. As a whole, chemical engineering intrigues me, the ability to turn raw materials into such useful products used in everyday life is not only fascinating, but remarkable. Being such a versatile subject, with countless other talents required-and several picked up along the way-I feel as if chemical engineering is the subject for me. To me Chemical engineering is so much more than experiments, where you merely mix a load of substances, it's a sophisticated subject that not only includes the obvious like chemistry, biochemistry, engineering, materials science and information technology etc, but so much more. During college I studied Chemistry, Maths, Physics and sociology all of which I believe will help me in my studies as a hopeful chemical engineer. Over the course of both my GCSE's and A-levels I have come to feel passionately and strongly enjoy both maths and chemistry, The logical reasoning and sharp thinking entailed have had a positive impact and enhanced my abilities. Chemistry is something that i look forward to, its constant practicals amplifying my belief that i am doing something and going somewhere, requiring skill and patience. Its meticulous tasks improving my organisation and diligence, just having the ability to work independently made my self-confidence and morale soar.
