For a chemistry major, it is expected that I am only passionate about science and math. It is far from the truth. My true chemistry is with sports. I spend all of my free time indulging in sports related activities such as Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment. I have been a passionate follower of wrestling since I was a young girl. For six nights a week, at least two hours each night, I watched unimaginable matches. These were matches where a guy would jump from the top of the ladder, down onto a guy who was laying on the cement. The thrill of these high flying and dangerous moves add to the excitement of seeing such a risky match.

They provided stats that I had already learned, introduced new wrestlers that I had already grew to know, and explained the types of moves that were being maneuvered. My dreams of being a commentator weren’t there with me ringside. At each of the events, I would always find myself writing new stats and records on the back of my John Cena posters. I ended up being a ringside commentator for other passionate fans that sat in the same area as me. I enjoy writing about things I expect to happen, because expecting the unexpected seems impossible to do. With chemistry, I can easily write a research paper or conduct an experiment with observations and predictions based solely on facts. The writing comes naturally to me; it is most natural when I write the script of commentary for wrestling. I create real storylines and matches that I believe to be the best for entertainment. Being able to write helps me to express my thoughts and jot down a few lines of the burning passion I contain. I use writing as a stepping stone to transport me into a world of both chemistry and wrestling- my two true
