Dylan Grimes Mrs.Dwiggins Chevy May 2nd Chevy is the best. On November 3 1911 Chevrolet was founded by a swiss car racer in Detroit names louis Louis Chevrolet. In 1918 Chevrolet produced its first truck based vehicle. In 1923 they had officially made its 1,000,000 vehicle. They then went and built their manufacturing first plant in Denver. By 1930 the company had produced 7,000,000 vehicles worldwide showing that it was now producing nearly a million vehicles every year. Throughout the upcoming years that led up to the Second World War we saw that Chevy would be the answer to supplying the middle class individual with a vehicle that could perform greatly. We would see Ford and Chevy competing with each other as well as Plymouth. During the early forties Chevy and General Motors were made to start production on things for the war effort. This became the focus for the company as it would try to have lower price to middle classed priced vehicles for the common man and woman. This was to be the first product vehicle that decided to use a fiberglass body with fiberglass panels thus giving the vehicle a lighter weight. The Corvette becomes a legend for sports people because it was a nice fast car.
