The two companies that I chose for my analysis are Chick-fil-A and Google. Each company has a strong corporate image that clearly features how they want to be viewed. Individually, Chick-fil-A and Google will do anything in their power to ensure that the trademark they have created holds still, and does not sway from the beliefs and foundation the two companies were established on. Chick-fil-A does not hide the fact that the company is built on the rock of Christianity. Chick-fil-A is a very conservative company that strives to always portray a welcoming and positive environment. They channel this image by the employees treating the customers at the upmost respect possible. I have never encountered a rude or disrespectful Chick-fil-A employee. Google wants to not just reflect one view of the world, but wants to reflect the entire world and embody every culture within its brand. Collaboration inside the company helps in effectively conveying this image to the public. Google actively seeks everyone’s opinion, not just the executives and puts these opinions into play. They do this by having weekly TGIF meetings, a constant email chain, and an extensive cafeteria that encourages interaction between employees. The company understands that relationships between diversified employees is the key to portraying the worldwide image that they long to always have. Google strives to always be the most effective search engine with features including, Gmail, maps, news, and many more. Google is constantly working to ensure that every feature is of the best quality and the most accurate. Google also interprets their image to the company through the search engines homepage, or “google doodles.” Refer to image 2 for an example of Google doodles.
