Child abuse and child maltreatment did not just happen, it was in the past and present with the same concerns , which is still the challenge of protecting children to ensure they grow into healthy productive adults. Too many of our children today are been abused, neglected, and killed under our watch. We depend on the system to handle this problem. one of the leading interrelationships among policymakers, public and private agencies is the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) . The CAPTA was to protection and serve the welfare of many children there are victims to abuse, neglect and death. This and many other act or regulation put into place for the protection of children is not saving many children. There are way too many death, abuse and neglecting children today. There are many program to setup for child welfare, but how many are truly affected? This paper will provide information and related to some of the reasons this maybe happening. …show more content…

Was the spending decreased or cut that would have allow specific program that would have prevent many of the children from becoming victims? As parent s we should all be concern of the welfare of any child that is in a abusive situation. Often the public look the other way if it is not their child or one they know. When you witness a child in any bad situation what do you do or how do you help? If there so many program to assist, why are they working ? If the Federal and State government are the rule-makers then the public should hold them accountable for the regulations that are not working. In the past parent were responsible for raising and protecting their children as they believed was right. Now some parents do not know what parenting and protecting a child
