The transition of a child becoming an adolescent is a very complex time in one's life. You are too old to be playing with toys, but your still to young for adult things such as drinking and partying. Although, for both genders this is a difficult time in their lives, it can be a bit tougher on a female. As a girl starts to grow up, she is expected to look a certain way and if she does not look that ways she is still viewed as a kid. Even when you start to look a certain way, but still act like a child that girl will still be viewed like a kid.
