mal IntelligeAnnce Animals can be very intelligent. Some have been known to use tools, have great memory, and even command to human commands. Some have better memory than a child, that's amazing! Three animals that have demonstrated intelligence are crows, chimpanzees, and dogs. According to the video “A Murder of Crows,” crows are very intelligent birds. A scientist did an experiment with crows by putting on a mask and doing something bad to them. Which then it should mean they will remember it for up to 2 years. It worked, they remembered it and even told their young to watch out for them. The New Caledonian Crows can use tools and can even solve multistep problems. They are the human’s closest relative. Chimpz can make tool like choppers,spears, and hammers. Scientists have studied them and done tests on them. They once did a memory test with numbers. It proved that they have better memory than some children.They also use sign language. It can be hard to study chimpz in the wild because how remote their habitat is. Chimpanzees are are our closest relative, no surprise because they're super smart. Dogs are man’s best friends. They follow are commands even if we use whistles and hand commands. Brian hare conducted an experiment on dogs. He proved that they will follow gestures like pointing and eye movement without training. Rico, a border collie knows more than 200 items. He can even retrieve an object under a pile of stuff when only hearing the name of the object once! A different dog, chaser knows 1,000 object and can understand some human grammer. Dogs are really smart! Animals are really intelligent. We have underestimated their smartness for a long time. How the can open doors, use sign language, use tools, and even understand some of our grammar. Scientist often give test like 3 step problems or memory. It can be very tough to test them because they get nervous. Understanding of them has really changed the way I think about
