Chocolat is one of the famous film about a war between paganism and Christianity, and because the pagan heroine has chocolate on her side, she wins. Her victory is postponed only because, during Lent, a lot of the locals aren’t eating chocolate. The movie happens in a village in France. Vianne Rocher (Juliette Binoche), and her daughter Anouk (Victorie Thivisol) came to the village in the starting of the Lenton season in 1959. Vianne is an expert chocolatier, she opens a chocalate shop there much to the displeasure of the village mayor Comtede Reynaud( Alfred Molma). pleasure. When she saw them, Vianne decides to make chocolates for the Easter festival. Vianne invite all the villagers to her chocalaterie on the Easter sunday. But at the saturday night the mayor comes to the chocalaterie for ruin Vianne’s preparations for the Easter festival.When he enterd in to the chocalaterie he accidentally tasting a bit of chocolate he eats it greedly and and fell in to sleep. Vianne awakens the mayor, on the next day. After this incident a mutual respect between them is established. The Easter sunday festival is a success. At the summer Traveller Roux returns to the french village. Finally Vianne having found a home for herself and her daughter in the village. The movie is very interesting and fanciful.if ‘’Chocolat’’ sounds like a dangerous combination of stories ‘’Like Water for Footloose’’ there’s nothing dangerous about it. The director, Lasse Hallstrom the director made the movie amazingly.
