Written report is a major form of communication within a police agency. Written reports are used to explain and pass down key information that might be needed in the future or to fully explain an occurrence that happened to an officer during their shift. Written reports are used in arrest-reports, follow-up investigation paper work, memorandums, standard operating procedures literature and promotion test.
