Chris went to Arvada high school in Arvada, Colorado in his teen years. He fell in love with animation and characters after seeing animated shorts on “the wonderful world of Disney”. After, his grandma told him about the education program at CIA and After high school, Chris sanders continued his education at the California institute of arts and graduated in 1984.He majored in cartoon animation, then moved on to work at marvel comics. After he animated characters for the show Muppet Babies as his first major work on animation, Chris sanders moved on to Walt Disney in 1987 for the visual development department. After doing some work on The Rescuers Down Under in 1990, sanders went to the top of the Disney charts with his animation work on The Beauty and the Beast (1991) and The Lion King (1994).he then assisted in the writing of Mulan (1998). He was moved to write, voice, and direct Lilo and Stitch (2002). Sanders moved to DreamWorks where he co-wrote, co-directed, and co-animated How to Train Your Dragon in 2010. …show more content…

The storyline from the movie actually came out of a failed children’s book that Sanders was trying to make. Stitch looked a bit different but the character and storyline were almost exactly the same. He used his personal animation style to create and animate Lilo and Stitch. His style is people of all variations and colors, he draws his girls with many curves and same with animals such as stitch.
