When Charles Darwin first published his findings about evolution, Christians have been disagreeing on his sayings about evolution. Evolution is the process in which organisms have developed in the history of the earth. There has been controversy from the religious point of view and from the scientific point of view. Christians believe in the book of Genesis. In the book of Genesis, it says in the creation story that God had created animals and Adam named them. The scientific belief is that the animals were created and during evolution, changed over time to other species of animals. These are both solid points on evolution from both points of view. Christians look for the Bible in search of answers about the world and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Cristians believe that the earth has only been around for about twelve thousand years. A prime example of point of view is the whale. Scientist believe that the whale has evolved form many types of species. Scientist believe the whale evolved from the ancient artiodactyl. The ancient artiodactyl evolved to the Pakicetus and then it evolved to ambulocetus. The one thing about these creatures that is different from the whale is that these animals were land animals. The Rodhocetus was the first evolution of the whale that, instead of a land animal, started to swim. The Rodhocetus evolved to the Basilosaurus. The Basilosaurus started to grow in size because it spent its entire life swimming in the ocean. It later evolved to Durudon, which led to evolution of the whale we know today.
