Chicken puff paste, duck, fish, vegetables, sounds like a great Christmas dinner, right? According to mymerrychristmas.com this is what christmas dinner looked like 100 years ago. Today on Christmas we have a very different menu than americans did 100 years ago. Turkey, steamed vegetables, pie, cookies, rolls, and christmas candy and so much more. This year's christmas compared to past years has definitely taken a turn. Over the years christmas has definitely changed. But is it better than Christmas 100 years ago? While there are some similarities between gifts from Christmas now and 100 years ago, there is definitely a change in price and lots of aspects that go into buying the gift and what the gift is. According to mymerrychristmas.com, a popular gift in 100 years ago were dolls. Lots of the little girls dolls 100 years ago were homemade or if they were bought they would cost anything from one dollar to the maximum of five dollars. According to pictures on mymerrychristmas.com santa looks a lot different than he did 100 years ago. On my merrychristmas.com santa was used in an ad holding gun, today santa is often used in ads such as the coke-a-cola and etc. However today he is used way differently than he was 100 years ago. Not only was santa holding a weapon in the add he was also dressed in a really dark color. It made the ad look like he was almost a scary person who you would not want to be around. Today santa is always dressed in bright inviting colors. Santa is not known today as a scary person companies use santa to convince people to buy their product.
