On my merrychristmas.com santa was used in an ad holding gun, today santa is often used in ads such as the coke-a-cola and etc. However today he is used way differently than he was 100 years ago. Not only was santa holding a weapon in the add he was also dressed in a really dark color. It made the ad look like he was almost a scary person who you would not want to be around. Today santa is always dressed in bright inviting colors. Santa is not known today as a scary person companies use santa to convince people to buy their product.
