I have read several books for my summer reading, but the one I am going to talk about now is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon. This novel is about a young child named Christopher Boone whose symptoms indicate that he has a mild form of autism, or perhaps Asperger’s syndrome. When I first began reading the book, I really had no idea what it was about. At first the book only seemed to be about a special needs boy trying to solve the murder of his neighbor’s dog, Wellington, but as I continued on through the book, it became apparent that it was much more than what it previously seemed to be.
