Christopher Vogler was a film maker and writer born 1949 in Missouri. He studied at the USC School of Cinema-Television. He has also worked with Disney, Fox 2000, and Warner Bros. And taught at USC/UCLA classes that involved cinema, tv, animation, and digital arts. He was president of Story Tech Literary Consulting. Christopher Vogler was inspired by Joseph Campbell and used his work to create a memo for Hollywood screenwriters as a guide using one of Campbell work. In the 1990s he called the memo The Writer's Journey: Mythic Structure For Writers.

He called the memo The Writer's Journey: Mythic Structure For Writers. Christopher Vogler goes on how Joseph Campbell has become influences to many film makers. How Hollywood are staring to embrace his ideas for example like writers, producer, directors of designer as a tool. How these tool help create a story line easier to do and understand. They go through what the hero journey goes through different stages throughout the storyline. From starting at home, knowing the mission, not wanting to go on the Journey, meeting/getting help from someone important, going through test/ emmiens/ allies and achieving the goal and getting back home with a new meaning of life. He goes in depth what each mean and what the purpose is and the order they might go through. The Hero Journey should not be followed exactly the order the way it's being stated. Its only possible thing that could happen to the hero. Some stages may be deleted the hero may learn a few values along the way. Christopher Vogler then goes on about the Archetypes. The Archetypes are types of people that appear during the journey. Some of them might be mentor, hero, guardian, and trickster etc. They are most likely to appear in the hero
