In this excerpt, Margo and Q target Chuck Parson, who has always tormented Q and many others. They tiptoe around Chuck’s room and put veet on one of his eyebrows. As the reader follows the characters’ actions, there is a sense of anticipation and suspense. It seems unlikely that Chuck will not wake up, yet the reader is hoping he stays asleep so that Margo and Q can finish their plan.
