The sound of a gown rustling on the leaves upon the ground all but broke the silence of the evening sky. The queen and her bodyguard were silent as they walked through the forest near the castle. She had grown restless cooped up in the castle the last few weeks. For you see the queen was soon to give birth to the next heir of the dragon kingdom.
“Where to my lady. Will we be heading back soon?” asked Aria as her short black hair blew in the wind, her red eyes glimmered with mischief.
The knight wondered what the queen had planned as they came to a clearing in the middle of the forest. She had known the queen since they were babies. Their mothers had been best friends. She was so happy when Alata had fallen in love, eventually married the king.

I thought you and the king wanted the gender of the baby to be a surprise,” she asked with a shocked look on her face. “Why do you say we are going to the sacred mountain to have him? Why not have him in the castle.”

The queen’s contractions were getting stronger by the minute. She steadied herself upon the cave wall, as Aria was getting a fire built.
