Everyone knows about the original fairytale “Cinderella”. But everybody does not know that there is more than one version to tell. For instance there is a French and German version of the story. The French “Cinderella” story is more similar to the original with the clothes and slippers, but the German “Cinderella” on the other hand is more gruesome and violent than the original. There are some differences that are clear between the French and German “Cinderella” stories for example, the shoes and outfits are unalike and the end of the stories change up a little but at the end Cinderella always lives happily ever after. To begin with, the French “Cinderella” version is almost the same as the original story but there are a few changes to it. “Her clothes turned into cloth of gold” (Perrault). “Throw gold and silver down to me” (Grimm). These quotes are just a couple of differences between the clothes and shoes in the stories. In the French “Cinderella” story she wore cloth of gold and silver, all beset with jewels and a pair of glass slippers. In the German “Cinderella” story she had a couple diverse outfits, and a silver and gold pair of slippers.
