Speculative Fiction: Escapism At Its Best Imagine a world without elucidation, uninteresting, just bland. That is what the world would be without Speculative fiction. Speculative fiction is seeing thing with the mind to make the possibilities endless. Also, speculative fiction asks the question what-if? There are two main types of speculative fiction: Science fiction and Fantasy fiction. Science fiction extrapolates or pushes the mind into the future like flying cars and robot takeovers. Fantasy fiction is encompassing magical and mythical beings. Speculative fiction can connect with emotions along with imagination. Often the above-mentioned genre teaches life lessons yet forces reader to become aware of the relevance of that situation. There is a blind princess named Cinnamon did not talk. The Rajah and Rani offered a room in the palace, a field of stunted mango trees, a portrait of the Rani's aunt, and a parrot to anyone who could get the princess to talk. When no one could get Cinnamon to talk. Until a man-eating tiger comes to try to get Cinnamon to talk. Reluctantly the Raja and Rani allowed the tiger to be alone with Cinnamon. The tiger and the princess, after a long night, come out of the room together, and Cinnamon can speak. She states she didn't speak before because she just never had anything to say.
