It is certain that disobedience could be used in context for a person’s life. Meaning, most people experience at least some sort of disobedient action as they grow up. The term disobedience means the act of not listening and end up doing the opposite of what you have been told not to do. It is humanly impossible to be perfect in every single way. Therefore, disobedience is a valuable human trait because it lets someone learn from their doings, whether it be something disobedient that has a positive or negative outcome that you can learn from. Looking back, I have grown up being very disobedient at times. I have a younger brother, and we used to fight all the time. I have this vivid memory where it was his turn to watch his favorite show on the only good TV we had in the house. I yelled at my parents to let me watch instead of him; they said no. I had the propensity to get my way, so I grabbed the remote from my brother and hit him. At the time, I was in trouble. Ultimately, we grew up to become loving siblings. I read “The Reason” by Lacey Sturm. The book was about the journey through her life and how she discovered it to be worth living. Sturm grew up in poverty. Her family was constantly moving houses, working low-paying jobs nonstop, and could not afford nice clothes. She loved to play music, but also abused drugs, alcohol, and hated God, starting at age 13. This is not the norm for someone who is 13 years old; she was disobedient. This was a constant in her life up until the age 16. Through being forced to go to church and playing music, she learned to love God and now is an opulent singer who started with fronting a rock band. Sturn now is in a stable home, rich, and wears beautiful clothes. Her disobedient past allowed her to live a better life, a positive outcome while promoting social change through
