Citizens rights? This amendment protects citizen 's rights, by allowing them to elect their own senators as opposed to the legislature electing them. Supported After the time of the Civil War, differences about the fairness of elections of senators arose.
6th Amendment I personally find that out of all the amendments the most important one is the 6th amendment. Reason being that it is crucial in aiding the judicial process from wrongly persecuting innocent people and it allows our democratic process to continue without preventing innocent people for taking the fall while punishing those who harm it. It keeps justice in check, keeping laws in line and rulings to be fair. The 6th amendment helps the defendants have an attorney when they are unable to afford one.
The First Amendment was accomplished on the year of 1791 and it’s the one of the important Amendments in the Bill of Rights. It talks about the protection for all people rights, such as the freedom of speech, religion, press and assembly which made our country to be different, unique and to protect our rights as American citizens. The First Amendment also allows the people to protest and to speak their opinion. Understanding the rights that been given by the Congress is the importance by the United States citizens. Each citizen must respect their rights.
In today’s era, the Constitution holds most controversial rights that determines our history. The United States Constitution has provided powerful words, such as “We the People” and “all men are created equal” done with careful evaluation by the Founders, including the Bill of Rights that holds 10 amendments under the Constitution regarding a balance between an individual and the government; however, the document defines the American political system and government relations between citizens and its government
We’re able to express our political beliefs without being fearful that we might get sent to jail. Without this amendment, we wouldn 't be able to speak up for ourselves against the government whenever we
The Importance of the 1st Amendment In 1787 our founding fathers assembled the constitution of the United States of America. Of this which contains the most important document to the American citizen, the Bill of rights. The first Amendment states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances” These freedoms granted by the Bill of Rights are often known as freedom of expression. These rights are most important to a truly free society. The first amendment provides us with new ideas and dismisses the fear of punishment
While the American government is often liked and respected for its democratic policies and freedoms established there, there are still problems that exist. In terms of civil liberties, the United States of America represents a great system, but it 's when these freedoms are damaged or agreed to secure but make sure of the nation 's safety, that the very ways of thinking the basic truths and rules of freedom that America was founded upon become threatened. Now, in post September 11th violence, Americans around the country find themselves working hard for their freedoms and privacy at the incredibly valuable expense of their own safety. Security systems in airports were placed at high alert after the high-hackings, watching and checking by
In my opinion I think the right to peaceful assembly is the best constitutional law we have, it really makes our voice matter. Although, the resistance we have to current date are abusing the right to peaceful assembly and could abruptly end that right if they force a hand upon it. We are, I think the freest of societies, we have the most freedom in the world. The main reason for why our founding fathers gave us the 1st amendment was because they were limited to all those by the king in Great Britain. They got tired of having to listen to a King that wasn't even there, so they formed the Boston tea party, and in result of that was the Revolutionary War.
Civil liberties concern basic rights and freedoms that are guaranteed, either explicitly identified in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, or inferred through the years by legislatures or the courts. These basic rights are sometimes forgotten or not fully understood in our generation. Another issue is the lack of knowledge when it comes to our Congress. Congress has all legislative power, meaning that it is the only part of the government that can make new laws or change existing laws. Congress has a great amount of power that is often overlooked.
It helps us unite as one nation because all people have the same rights. Since everyone has the same rights everyone can learn the same things. When you learn about your rights you need to know the details so you can state your case if your rights were violated. By acting upon your rights you will have a voice in our nation.
Andrew Valdez Mr.Young 5th/English October 7, 2015 Bill of Rights Essay “ The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government”-Thomas Jefferson. The Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights is the most important amendment because it helps protect people from people who might want to hurt them, and it also allows people to hunt for their food. I believe that it is important because it helps it helps protect people 's lives. Maybe someone is going to rob you and you don 't have any way to defend yourself.
Civil liberties are in nowadays society a paradoxical issue, because countries which are founded on civil liberties are also threaten by terrorism and reducing civil liberties seems to be necessary if you try to fight terrorism. First in the UK the civil liberties have been eroded mainly because of the government. Indeed, the English government justifies the limitation of civil liberties with the threat of terrorsm. It is, according to the government, necessary to reduce civil liberties of all britain citizens if you want to protect the country.
The Bill of Rights was drafted to protect the natural rights of all citizens and limit the federal government. Out of the ten amendments, I believe the first amendment is the most important one of all. The first amendment guarantees freedom of religion, speech, press and assembly and petition against the government. If there were no rights certain people would suffer more from not being able to do things such as not being able to drive, or having to do things such as going to military training, but if everyone agrees you may be able to change laws and rules by voting. This is in order to live a happy life. Another reason to be civilized is so the
