TheCivil War is considered to be one of the most significant events in American history. It is must to know and understand about Civil War because it is the most important part of American history. The feeling and achievement of one unified state is gained through this Civil War. America became United States of America from eleven Southern Confederate fighting states because of this Civil War. The Civil War resulted into a freedom of 4 million slaves and secession of eleven confederate states. The African Americans got freedom with this Civil War. The role and power of Women increased drastically in the society post- Civil War era. The American society as a whole changed significantly with this Civil War. The agricultural economy in South messed up. The freed slaves in South, got the designation of second-class citizens. The post-war economic growth in South was of no worth. Post-war era, many problems created in South such as water and air pollution, wasteful exploitation of natural resources, and the exertions of an urban-industrial society.If the Southern generals like Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson were so brilliant, and if the South lost fewer men than the North, why did the North win? The Civil War happened between North, the Union and South, the Confederates. Even though South was having brilliant generals like Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson, South was not having enough of resources to win the war. South was lacking on men, weapons, horses, food, and so many other factors. The Union was much stronger compared to the Confederates. There were only 9 million people in South troops whereas 22 million people in North troops. Apart from that the industrial capacity of North was much greater.
