On Wednesday, 06/15/2016 at approximately 1611 hours, Jackson County Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call for an ambulance. The caller wanted an ambulance for a 2 year old boy that nearly drowned. The location of the incident was at the Spring Arbor subdivision beach area, which was located at the end of Spring Arbor Dr. Carbondale, Jackson County, Illinois. The mother of the boy was performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while 9-1-1 was called. I, Deputy Stacy Stark #1815, responded to the call.
The fourth finding I found was that even though Pre-K environments have an emphasis on group activities there was often a designated area in the classroom where children could go and be alone and self-reflect. However, these spaces were used differently throughout the three programs. In one program children went to what they called the “cool down chair” when they misbehaved. In this particular program usually a talkative child who may have been disruptive would have to go to the chair and think about what he or she did wrong. The chair was located in a corner where there were crayons and other play items that the child was allowed to use, but mainly it was a sort of punishment.
What happened? In this visit, Johny was absent, and I interact with the rest of the student. It was Friday and after three p.m. The routine was to wake up the children and gave them a snack. Then, they will play indoor and outdoor.

Over the past decade, this topic about GMO’s has been widely discussed, whether it is beneficial or harmful to our society. The majority opinion of the conservation is mixed. As stated in the legislative documents called “Restrictions on Genetically Modified Organism”, support for the introduction of genetically modified foods into the food supply held steady at 26 to 27% of respondents in favor over that time period, while opposition to the introduction of such foods fell from 58 to 46% over the period.
If the classroom was set up to assist only the needs of students with behavioral needs, violence could be managed more effectively. However, the current environment makes such a task very difficult, as safety is a main concern for the non-violent students, especially the medically fragile. In other words, employees state that the room is more of a place of survival rather than a place to learn and thrive. Currently, the violent behavior of some disabled students continues to cause stress and safety concerns to staff and students within the classroom. Frequent emergency evacuations occur on a regular basis (Mancini & Layton, 2012, p. 29).
For the following assignment I choose to discuss the Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction’s bullying curriculum. In the beginning I was strictly looking for bullying intervention/curriculums for the high school level because there is such a lack of instruction. However, when looking further into it I found a curriculum that encompasses all grade levels from 3rd to 12th and each lesson builds upon the last. The curriculum uses an age-appropriate and multi-strategy tactic; each curriculum explores the key knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to help develop a school free of bullying behavior. In each curriculum, real-life situations are outlined so students can practice communication skills that are effective in addressing bullying behavior.
Over the past few months, the class has been discussing typical and atypical language development and the assessment and intervention of children with language delay or disorder. In line with this, the students were asked to observe children aged 0-12 years old with language problems for 2 hours. For this requirement, I went to a therapy center situated in Quezon City last November 16, from ten (10) A.M. to twelve (12) N.N. The center has multiple rooms that are used for speech therapy and occupational therapy. During my observation, two speech pathologists and two children with language disorder were sharing one speech therapy room.

During this session, I asked my clinician where her school funding comes from. Christine said the funding comes from the school district and budget related services. If Christine’s department wanted a new standardized test, like the PLS-5, she would put in a request and wait to see if the school had funding for it. The preschool department where Christine works is funded through a grant that can vary depending on the year. If there is X amount of money left over, the teachers offer it to the SLPs.
Moving onto 6th grade, where some of the elementary schools had moved into the same middle school. The first day was just like the first day of elementary school, I had to make new friends and keep all the old ones that I had made while in elementary. It was very tough to get used to, going to classes by yourself without your class and going into your locker all by yourself was a little bit of a pain in the beginning but over a good amount of time I was able to master all of this. Having multiple teachers was always better in my opinion, due to the fact that you can hate some of the teachers and love the other ones. This was not the case in elementary school where you could hate your one teacher and had to hate them for the whole year.
Brief Introduction A two-and-a-half-year-old girl, referred to as DA, was chosen for this paper. She is the client of a friend and Spanish speaking, Parent Child Educator (PCE), from the communities Head Start program. DA is the youngest of four children, her siblings range in age from ten to sixteen. She lives with both parents.
OVERVIEW The elementary school that I observed at, Orchard View Elementary, was located in Delray Beach, FL. The location was very accessible and right off of the highway. The teacher I got assigned to was Ms. Diann Johnson. She teaches a class for students in 3rd-5th grade.
Classroom Observations Mrs. Canada is the first grade teacher that I observed, and the subject that she was teaching was reading. She had planned well-organized power points and crafting materials in advance, so she was prepared for the lesson. The two times I observed, the lesson that was being taught at both times was reading. Children in the classroom used a lot of previous knowledge for the lesson.
