Claude Monet was a French impressionist painter. He was born in Paris on November 14, 1840. He was a leader of the nineteen century impressionist art movement. Unlike some of other artists, Claude Monet was like to paint outside, directly from the nature. Also instead mixing colors on his palette, Claude Monet applied separate stroke of pure, unmixed colors directly on canvas. Most of his art works show his respect to capture a momentary aspect of nature, especially to convey the atmosphere effects of light. He had many famous painting such as Impression Sunrise, Rouen Cathedral series, Water Lilies, Haystacks, and Poplars.
