If you’re looking for sun, excitement, adventure, and striking water, Florida is the place to vacation. Florida offers vast magnitudes of family fun beaches as we experienced during our visit to Clearwater and Siesta Key Beach. Though both of these vacation spots are similar, they are very unique in their own ways. During our first vacation to Florida in June of 2012 we visited Clearwater Beach. It offered a beautiful pier to explore, vendors showcasing handmade crafts to purchase, and astonishing ocean views. Concession stands were easily accessible for snacks and a park for the kids to enjoy existed nearby. I remember the feel of sugary white sand between our toes as we walked along the beach shores gazing out into the turquoise colored clear ocean watching our middle child being pushed back to shore while the forceful waves came at her as she sat in the center of her inner tube. My girls really enjoyed collecting seashells along the shore and the security you felt knowing lifeguards were on duty watching over the swimmers. This beach, much like Clearwater, offered our family fun in the sun but was crowded with beachgoers. The best part about this beach was the soft white powdery sand and clear blue water you could see your toes in as the water sat at your waist. The girls were disappointed as seashells stood buried in the sand, minimally accessible and unable to collect. They were also saddened knowing no parks were visibly adjacent to us. It was a relief knowing that lifeguards were on duty in the event of an emergency particularly because my wife is afraid of sharks and hesitant to go into the ocean. Though this beach offered many different types of concession stands they were all closed by 3 p.m. making our trip to the beach short lived as the girls continued to complain of
