The Clifton Strengths Assessment was built to help people get on the right path into the future that suits them best. The assessment helps people discover what they naturally strengthen, and develop these talents into strengths. Laura Peiter spoke on the four different categories your top five strengths can fall into, which were, “executing, influencing, relationship building, and strategic thinking” (2024). For me, I fell into relationship building, with my top strengths being empathy, futuristic, communication, activator, and woo. I have been interested in Healthcare Administration for a while now and see this strength as a necessity for the profession. Being a Healthcare Administrator comes with many tedious tasks that are crucial to helping the department of wherever I choose to work to run smoothly. I believe, to completely put your all into this profession is applying this empathy skill into learning about people in the department and not only helping everything run smoothly. Getting to know the doctors, nurses, and all other staff to put yourself in their shoes and “make decisions that help make better health outcomes” (Sue Boren 2024). My second strength that I can develop and apply to my future career goal is being futuristic. In Health Administration the goal is to continue to move forward and learn about the staff you work with to make things run as smoothly as possible. With the futuristic mindset, I have the ability to see a vision of the future that energizes my mindset and others too.
