The problematic debate about climate change has elicited mixed reactions, however one thing is for certain- our Earth needs to be protected. Religion, politics, greed, and money have all contributed to the overall idea of climate change and everyday our risks grow greater and greater. Many wonder 'why should I care?' but this question can be answered simply. Everyone on Earth should be concerned since we only have one shot at living on this planet and must make it a priority to protect it. It’s our duty to be aware of what climate change entails, the factors that contribute to it, and the short and long term effects we will face locally and all around the globe. What is Climate Change? By definition climate change is referred to as the gradual change of regional or global weather patterns mostly due in part to the use of fossil fuels. Climate change affects a multitude of things such as weather, our ecosystem, and even the way our Earth looks. Even though it may seem that a change in climate is bad this isn’t the case since the climate is constantly changing naturally. Even things that would seem minor such as the Earth being further away from the sun, …show more content…
A main cause for these raises are man-induced factors and the pollutants we produce. Unfortunately, throughout the course of using fossil fuels we have changed the way our own natural greenhouse gasses are constructed which is negatively affecting our Earth and its atmosphere. It’s anticipated that some regions will increase in heat which will in turn create more evaporation which could deplete the water in those certain regions affecting the ecosystem. With heat increasing the melting of our ice caps will be inevitable and will account for a large increase in our sea level. There isn’t one cause but the collection of factors make climate change such a big
