Clinical Counselor Reflection

I have learned a lot about this filed of clinical counseling. When I began my undergraduate degree in psychology I knew that I would have to choose what I ultimately wanted to do. I, originally wanted to be a marriage and family counselor. I realized that that was so specific based. I had already ruled out being a clinical counselor because I thought they only dealt with clients with mental illness. As I did more research I found that “Clinical counselors are concerned with the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders.
