This letter is to describe Emma Schilling and her qualifications as an RA; however, as a current RA, there are so many different factors that make someone an incredible RA. It is a job where the person either is ready for or he or she will be a train wreck at it. Maturity and inclusivity are key components of the job. Not to mention, the person has to like what they are doing or else the job won’t be worth it. Emma is not only mature enough to handle the job, but is inclusive and personable enough that this job will be an amazing fit for her.
March 9, 2017 Aspen Wayment History of Physician Assistants There were many events leading up to the origination of the physician assistant. The military necessity in times of war was one of these events that induced the use of “non-physicians” and helped pave a pathway for physician assistants. In 1940 a highly respected physician trained his own “doctor’s assistant” to tend his patients while he was away receiving further medical education. This event was a major success and a brief example of what was to come a mere fifteen years later.

My family originally lived in Laos before they fled to Thailand by crossing over the Mekong River. The profession I have chosen to pursue is that of a Physician Assistant. My reason for this selection is because it gives you the independency of a Physician while having somewhat less responsibilities. A Physician Assistant provides healthcare services typically performed by a physician, under the supervision of a physician. Some of these services include but are not limited to examining and treating patients, diagnosing illnesses and counseling patients. In some case physician assistants are also tasked to prescribe medicine to patients.
Thesis statement: A medical assistant does both an administrator and health care professional duties. I chose this thesis statement because I’m going to school for medical assistant. It is very important that u know the role of your job field. As a medical assistant u have to check blood pressure, take temperature and you have to be able to deal with sick and non-sick people. Here is some examples of administrative and clinical procedures: greeting patients and answering telephones, booking and canceling appointments.
What is a Physician Assistant? As a relatively new field of practice, this answer is often asked. Physician Assistants are also known as PAs. They practice medicine on a team all under the supervision of a doctor. The name is largely a misnomer as physician assistants are much more than mere “assistants”.
I began my undergraduate education at Colorado State University in 2004. I declared my major as Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. At this point in my life, I had no clue what I wanted to do for my career and thought this would be the best option and give me the most diversity of career options. Going into my sophomore year, I began a job in the emergency department at the hospital located in the college town. During my first day, I got to see a variety of emergent and non-emergent medical procedures.
Working in different settings and meeting new people that need to be taken care of has always interested me. The job I want to have while I go to college is the very challenging role of a Medical Assistant. Due to the experiences that have happened in my life, I believe that becoming a medical assistant is the best career choice for me. There are many duties and responsibilities I will have as a medical assistant.
Also, I'm strange. Anyone that knows my personality say I'm an odd duckling. That's better than the ugly duckling at least. I strive to be diverse to other people. I believe that it is important to not be normal or the same as everybody else.
Further, I am a very well organized and reliable individual. It perceives me as a fun-loving extravert, who enjoys the company of others. I am viewed as good natured, forgiving, sympathetic and courteous and one who is not particularly calm or nervous.
Firstly, I am persistent. No matter how many times I fail, when I really want something, I won’t stop until I get it, so I wouldn’t stop trying until I helped my patient to find a solution for his/her problem. Secondly, I am interested, like to listen to other stories and hate it when they end up sadly. Ever Since I was little, I have loved to talk to others about their personal experiences and give advice when they needed it because it killed me to see that something was bothering them. Thirdly, I am loyal, so if someone asks me not to tell something to others I won’t tell and if I say that I won’t tell, I most of the time fulfill my word.
