When you think of hypnosis, you would most likely think of a magician swinging around a clock in front of somebody’s face, or maybe just a black and white circle swirling around, causing people to obey their orders. What you may not know about hypnosis is that it can be used as a therapy that can treat both mental and physical illnesses such as addictions, phobias, and stress.
The first stage of hypnotherapy is preparation. Good preparation involves gathering information about the psychological, physiological, and social aspects of the client’s behaviors. The hypnotherapist would then ask the client what he or she hopes to accomplish after their therapy.
