Clint Eastwood is an American actor, film maker, musician, political figure, and army veteran. He credits his success today to a western t.v series known as Rawhide in which he was an actor early on in his career. This t.v series opened the door for Eastwood. Eastwood has appeared in over 50 films and and starred in 42 of them. Eastwood has been around for a very long time. Eastwood is 86 years old and still putting out brilliant pieces of work such as American Sniper in 2014 that set box office records for largest release ever in the month of january and his largest film yet. During this heart wrenching conversation Chris Kyle is surrounded by enemies and stuck in a sandstorm thinking that there is no way for him to make it out of the situation alive. This was a brilliant time for Eastwood to add this for he knew that emotionally he had a grip on every viewer at that point in time, and everyone was on the edge of their seats. The sound of the sandstorm and whirling wind in the background and gun fire blazing for pregnant Taya to hear was an emotional rollercoaster. The camera was switching back and forth quickly between Taya and Chris showing the progressive anxiety and fear that was dawning over Taya. This was executed very successfully by Eastwood. Sully is Eastwood 's most recent film and his personal experiences definitely help him perfect that little details required to make a good movie great. Hereafter was definitely not one of Clint Eastwood 's best films but it really shows his character and what effects personal experiences can have on a film. Eastwoods father died in 1970. and his mother died in 2006.(Nichols) After losing his father it was the first death that was truly a close person in his life. After this he had a real understanding of what people go through when someone close to dies. Also what people would do to have someone back or atleast have one last conversation to say their goodbyes. This helped him better understand what needed to be put into the film and the emotional connections he needed to be able to make with the audience. Even though this film was not considered to be a good production it was still was an Oscar nominee for "Best Visual Effects,". Hereafter is about three people who are touched by death in different ways. George (Matt Damon) is a blue-collar American who can actually speak to the dead. On the other side of the world, Marie (Cécile De France), a French journalist, has a death defying experience that really messes with her head.
