Contrary to popular belief, cloned animals have the same DNA and genetic code, yet most of the time they do not look alike. In Michael Bay’s The Island, humans can pay five million dollars to have a clone of them made. The clone is then harvested for body parts when the client is in need of various organs or transplants. Lincoln Six Echo is one of those clones living in the clone society where the population believes they have survived a contamination outbreak. The only salvation for the clone society is a contamination free Island out in the ocean. In order to get to the island though, you must win the lottery and be selected to travel to the island. He sees himself drowning on a special boat with his friend Jordan Two Delta. Lincoln Six Echo then gets a keycard from his boss at his work to go get his computer chip fixed. He uses this keycard to explore the mechanical room and finds his way up to were the surgeries are held. Lincoln Six Echo finds out that the Island does not exist and that the lottery winners are killed for their organs. He heads back to his colony and escapes the complex with Jordan Two Delta. They find Lincoln Six Echo’s client who bought him and ask him to help them free the rest of their clone friends. Lincoln the client secretly calls Dr. Merrick the founder of the clone colony and has the two escaped clones chased after. Lincoln Six Echo and Jordan Two Delta make their way back to the colony and free the rest of their clone friends.
