Alejandro got his sister and niece to come to America so that they would have a better life. Later on Marta Alvarez,13 was found dead in the LA river. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips knew that their son Austin Phillips, 17 murdered and raped Marta Alvarez. They decide to help their son cover up the murder because he is underage and his actions were a simple accident.
After Austin killed Marta and dumped the body in the LA river his backup solution was to look for sex offenders on an online platform to though off the LAPD. Austin found a victim to pin the killing on, a male sex offender who was living the area. Austin picked him since previous conviction with the underage children would make him a higher suspecting rate than him.
