Club Med’s original mission statement or its’ goal is to take a group of people away from their everyday lives to a relaxing atmosphere in different parts of the world.

Its strategy to retention customers and built up brand loyalty is by requiring an initiation fee and annual dues. With the membership, they receive newsletters and catalogs. Average Club Med customer revisits 4 times after their initial stay.

The resort sites are carefully chosen by taking into consideration the natural beauty, good weather and recreational potential. All of its villages have similar setup. Each resort has approximately 40 acres to accommodate activities such as windsurfing, sailing, etc. Resorts are in secluded areas to separate individuals from civilization.
