Everyone has a different definition of what strength means. In this novel strength is addressed several times, but they were different types of strength. Finny is a strong athlete, Gene is a strong academic student, Finny shows strength by accepting his injury, and Gene has strong contradicting feelings about his friendship with Finny. All in all strength is measured by opinions and that’s just the truth.
What is strength? Well, according to dictiobary.com, strength is, “quality or state of being strong bodily or muscular” or “mental power, force or vigor”. Both theses definitions are true in John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men. Steinbeck states this by indirectly saying that, strength is essential to survival, although mental over powers physical strength. The first example of strength in Of Mice and Men is, physical strength.
Strength: Strength is a huge component in society as in at the Central Minnesota Credit Union. Having everyone come together and know what is going on and having great leaders is powerful. To me the strength does not just come from one person it comes from everyone and who ever contributes will make the credit union stronger. One way to make the credit union stronger is to tell others about it and to make it become larger. In this case the more the better and it helps out everyone.

Therefore, for strengths-based approaches or strengths-based approaches is the best method since it concentrates on the inherent strengths of individuals, families, groups, and organizations, deploying personal strengths to aid recovery and empowerment. To focus on health and well-being is to embrace an asset-based approach where the goal is to promote the positive (Toner, 2016).
The explanation provided assisted me with understanding why I each strength was identified. For example, I was uncertain about my result restorative, by going into greater detail on this result, I was able to understand the concept better. By applying my positive attitude and sense of finding a common ground among coworkers, it will enable me to apply this strength to my daily life. Lastly, the strength of achiever was a lesser theme for me compared to my other top strengths.
