It is noted in his biography when Lombardi first got to Green Bay, he found a poor performing team who was struggling to succeed (Bio.com, 2014). Through his inspirational style of motivation and his incorporation diversity into his team he was able to propel the Packers forward to win! This year I was introduced to my new Quality Assurance team. They seem to struggle and are very much to me like those Packer players of Lombardi’s. Taking note of Coach Lombardi’s visionary style, I as a senior leader in the military, will apply what I have learned about diversity and inspirational motivation to effectively lead my team to their own successes.
