Organization Behavior : An organization is a social unit where people come together to achieve a common goal. Success of any organization depends on coordination among these people towards achieving the common goal. People in any organization will have different personality and different behavior. Organization Behavior intends to analyze the interaction between the diverse people in any organization and utilize them effectively for the benefit of the organization.
Organization Behavior analyzes organization from multiple perspectives:
1) Individual Level: Comprehends different types of personality, moods, attitudes in order to understand individual

Cognition which is basic unit of cognitive framework can be defined as an act of knowing an item of information. According to this framework cognitions influence behavior and effect person’s process of thinking, problem solving and information processing.
Behaviorist Framework : According to this framework stresses on stimulus- response relationship. The outcomes of this framework is dependent on environmental variables.
Social Cognitive Framework : Interaction among cognitive, behavioral and environmental factors molds behavior pattern of a person.
1. Leadership and Empowerment
• Leader should identify beneficial traits among fellow members and influence them to nurture those qualities for them to show best results
• Leadership is not only ordering people to complete a certain work, it is about directing everyone towards a common goal and incorporating sense of belonging among them

Personality
• Set of characteristics that has been developed through years, influences the way a person reacts and behaves
• Heredity, exposure to diverse situations, social upbringing play an important role in formation of personality.
• Big 5 traits – It tries to comprehend personality based on five dimensions of character ,these are-Conscientiousness, Emotional Stability, Agreeableness, Extraversion, Openness to Experience.
• MBTI(Myers Big Type Indicators)- it is a personality assessment mechanism which comprehends four characteristics in a person and based on that classifies him among sixteen personality types. The four traits are- 1) introversion/extraversion 2) perceiving/judging 3) sensing/intuiting 4) Thinking/feeling
• All the jobs and organization does not seek similar kind of personality among its employees. A person who scores high in extraversion will suit team oriented organization culture.

• Perception is just a belief about something, it might not be same as reality
