Anxiety can improve someone`s life. This may sound untrue to those people who believe that anxiety is the root cause of most of the bad habit in the world like drug and substance use. People fail to realize that anxiety gives someone courage to overcome the obstacles of life. In this essay, I will outline the steps necessary to perform a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and explain the importance of an equal power-equal value relationship between the consultant and consultee. Additionally, I will cover three ways to decrease an undesired behavior, as well as three ways to increase a desired behavior from a consultee/client. Finally, I will discuss some of the foundations of the Eclectic-behavioral model.
