The cold war 1947-52 is the period where the cold war from the Truman doctrine in 1947 to the conclusion of the Korean war in 1953. The cold war began almost immediately following World War 2. The cold war was about a relationship between the United States and the allies and the Soviet Union and their allies. However, the cold war was not like other wars, the two opponents never went into battle. Some main things that happened in the cold war was Berlin’s wall, Korean War, Cuban Missile crisis and more. One important points in China 1949-53 is that they made equal rights to women. Women was allowed to marry the man they loved. This was a positive thing. People had no land to grow crops, but now since they turned into a communist they have more land to grow crops. This was another positive thing because people were hungry. Russia and China made a defend treaty. North Korea went into war because the United States wanted to stop communist. So just to sum up, China 1949-52, The Soviet Union, china thought communist would help because now the peasants have the governments programs to get them money and food and they have more land to grow crops. The divide was with a wall, anybody that try to go pass, over or under, will be shot. They made the walls higher because the buildings are high enough to see your friends and friends on the other side and have barbed wire on the top. People started to call the “Berlin Crisis”. The reason why they did not make it all communist is that United States own some parts of Berlin. Germany has the East side communist and the west capitalist. During the “Berlin Crisis”, President Kennedy was the new president. Premir Khreshev wanted to test Kennedy so Khreshev put troops around the wall, so that is why they shoot people who tries to go around
