Considerable amount of information on the Internet is uncensored and unregulated. However, websites hold the potential to change the way in which world history and world geography is taught and learned today. I’ve chosen the topic “What were the root causes of the Cold War?” to help distinguish the three credible websites through Google surfing.

In order to truly grasp the topic, it was noteworthy to find websites that evoked an appropriate description of the Cold War between the periods 1945 – 91. This would allow me to delve more into the topic and to understand the backstory. The website ends in .org, considered as a non-profit organization, meaning anyone can get an .org site. However, the website was created to support their existing Cold War Museum. The website is written by Jason Y. Hall, he is an executive director of the Cold War Museum and has a PhD in history at the University of Michigan.
