The business known as Coles Supermarkets industry is in an extremely competitive market therefore strategic planning is necessary for the business. This report will show findings on how Coles is able to be competitive and analyse patterns, relationships, and trends.
Findings
Coles is a national full-service supermarket retailer which operate more than 800 supermarkets. Coles is one of Australia’s most trustworthy businesses and has the loyalty over most Australians. An analysis for Coles business environment is that the business needs to ensure that each of these supermarkets are going to make money, they have managed be one of Australia’s most reliable and trustworthy business, they also like to have a business that is welcoming and create a good environment for consumers, and having the lowest prices they can for consumers. They would also like to be sustainable and lead all Australians to a ‘heathier, happier lives.’ (source 2). But they are facing a threat of losing shareholders as they were not impressed by Coles loss. Though with Coles needing to have a plan for the business it leaves some workers without jobs as they are replaced by machinery.
