Can you believe that during the Harlem Renaissance the black race didn't feel like they had a safe place to show their culture? The poem We Wear the Mask written by Paul Laurence Dunbar As a curator I decided to create an exhibit focusing on the themes of collaboration and communication brining out the best in people. Using the poems "We Wear the Mask" written by Paul Laurence Dunbar, "Crucible of champions” written by Nikki Grimes and "Mother to Son" Written by Langston Hughes. We wear the mask of collaboration and communication. People wear a different mask everyday because people have different ways of expressing themselves. It talks about how there are many masks and how we can hide ourselves but people wear a mask to show a better wey that they feel and lie about how they feel because people don't want to show how they really feel sometimes.
