Our Vietnam is a small nation yet rich in culture since we have thousands years of forming and developing. To begin with, while individuality is promoted in Western culture, kinship is undeniably crucial to the Vietnamese. As for me, who was raised in a family where three generations live together under one roof, family is always considered to be my top priority. From my early age, I have been taught to give family members respect, love and care. Additionally, since religions are widely practiced in Vietnam, every Lunar New Year, I often go to Buddhism pagodas with my grandmother and mother to wish for good lucks and it has become an indispensable tradition of my family. There have been numerous schools built in my country, one of which is Foreign Languages Specialized School (FLSS). It had always been my dream school since I was in secondary school so I tried my hardest to pass the entrance exam and finally got a spot in this active environment. As the curriculum offers students an opportunity to learn two foreign languages at the same time, I chose English and Chinese with the crave for a good base to work on the global stage. Enrolling one of the national top high schools is not only my pride but also gives me motivations to study every subject with flying colors in order to contribute to the reputation of my school. Apart from strong academic programs, our school also offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities and various student clubs where we can discover our own hidden talents.
