Being an attendee of Chapel Hill means to become a leader, lifelong learner, and a world changer with an unbridled education as the foundation of one’s success and impact. With a place like Chapel Hill, the opportunities are endless and the discovery unrestrained, so much so, that I have realized how much I want to be a part of a community such as this one. Thorough out high school, I endured many trails and seasons that have helped shaped my vision of what I desire from my future college and education. One of my most prevalent desires is to pursue a college that is saturated in diversity. I seek a college that enforces a standard of excellence in education and allows me to fall in love with learning again. In addition, I need a university like Chapel Hill to call home—a place that prepares me for leadership and reformation in countries and con communities here at home and around the world. Chapel Hill is the place that will give me the ignition and cause for the potential to be continually discovered in others and me. I hope to call this place home.
My journey through high school has been one shaped by learning, maturity, discovery, and enlightenment. I have discovered a great deal about what I stand for in life, why, and how there are so many people in need of an advocate. Most of my enlightenment resulted from my personal experiences, interactions with the community and guidance from loved ones.
