I immigrated to the United States with my family in early 2014. We were not familiar to the surroundings, and had to stay close to relatives. Attending a community college was my only option to get quality education without creating any educational gaps. While attending Northern Virginia Community College in Woodbridge, VA, I discovered the guaranteed admission agreement between my college and the University of Virginia. I always dreamed of attending a university that would be well known for its strong academic background and its successful alumni. And UVA was one of the schools I always wished to attend while living in Bangladesh, my home country because of its reputation as a highly competitive university. When I came to the United States, my hopes of going to the university I dreamed to attend were very low until I learned that I could utilize the transfer agreement and still get admitted to UVA, and began working hard towards achieving my goal. I wish to transfer to UVA to major in Biology. After I complete my Bachelor’s degree, I want to get admitted to the UVA medical school to achieve my dream and career goal. I am not very satisfied with the present healthcare system in the US, where only the rich can afford quality healthcare. I want to create a free healthcare facility along with other dedicated doctors for all people who cannot afford the expensive quality healthcare.
