As I am currently furthering my education and pursuing a master’s degree in Literature, I have become interested in becoming an educator to gain teaching experience. I hope to inspire and teach children the benefits of reading and learning. As literature has become a passion of mine I would like to be able to teach others the value of english literature. IDEA Public Schools would be a great start for me to gain experience, teach the knowledge I’ve gained over the years, and it would also give the chance to inspire students to read more and in turn would prepare them for what’s ahead as they prepare for college.

My first goal was to graduate and receive my Bachelor of Arts in English. My second goal was to get accepted into a Master’s program.
I selected these goals because I know that one day I want to earn my Ph. D. and become and English Literature Professor. In order to do so, I had to graduate and apply to various graduate schools. I worked hard to receive my undergraduate degree and wrote many essays while still taking six courses. After receiving my diploma, I found out that I was accepted to all of the graduate schools that I applied to. It was a great moment for me to realize that my dreams of being a professor can and will come true.
In order to achieve these goals, I had to work twice as hard. I had to focus on my schoolwork while also crafting essays to get into graduate school. Although it was tough, I was determined to achieve my goals despite the obstacles.
I graduated in December 2015 with degree and I started a Master’s program in January 2016 at Texas State University. After achieving what I set out to do, I realized that with hard work and determination I can do anything I set my mind
