Currently spending hours working on a daily dose of mathematical problems, Mathematics inspires me to regularly think and look for a possible solution in every situation. My passion and enthusiasm have brought me to sought increasingly advancing courses as part of my mind's exercise. Before I took primary school, I have started learning Mathematics in KUMON from learning simple integers until I achieve a comprehensive understanding of calculus, statistical studies, and matrix as a post-graduate in Year 7. Aside from its benefits to maintain high performance on Mathematics, it helped me to excel in secondary level physics and chemistry which involves calculation on most of its topics. Sustained by my passion and curiosity, I believe that choosing Mathematics as my major will suit my learning process, learning capability, and my non-academic activities. …show more content…
Since Year 7, I regularly practice on brilliant.org website to solve highly challenging math and physics questions. The problems posed on brilliant.org encourage me to seek alternative methods to approach an appropriate solution. At the same time, during my secondary school year, I won a gold medal, two first prizes, and managed to qualify as a semifinalist from the competitions that I have participated. From those achievements, I believe that I still have high potential to enhance my mathematical ability. Due to my progress, I am sure that choosing math as my major would fit my learning capability. Plus, math major would help me develop my mathematical sense as a future statistician and risk-managing actuary. Working with numbers and heap amount of data requires a high level of accuracy and a sharp analytical ability, which suits my learning experience. Furthermore, being a statistician and an actuary will allow me to reach everyone in the society, especially those who are in
