Adversity and change are inevitable: our perspectives shift, conflicts arise, and mistakes are made, but consequently, our minds grow and flourish. In our increasingly complex society, I believe that people need to allow themselves the room to broaden their horizons for the sake of making the most of their abilities, interests, and cognitive capacities. In my case, I believe that the first step toward widening my own breadth of knowledge is the pursuit of a Master of Business Administration degree.

I wholeheartedly disagreed, and sought to find the support I had thought would have been a normality in an institution of higher learning. Shortly afterward, I fell ill and was unable to attend classes on campus, either due to lack of mobility or lack of availability because of doctor’s appointments or therapy. The next semester, I was accepted to an online program that allowed me to take all of the courses I needed in this transitional period.
Online education offered me exponentially more than I could have ever imagined. Now a graduating senior in better health, I was faced with the choice of working or applying to graduate school. Furthermore, I had to decide if I would return to a brick-and-mortar school or continue online.
By pursuing an online MBA, I am working toward personal fulfillment and preparedness for an ever-changing workforce while looking to challenge the stigmas of online education. With the broad subjects of my undergraduate degree, I believe that an MBA would be supplementary to my previous studies, and the additional coursework in marketing would be a fun and proactive way to explore my potential career path. Although I see the value in obtaining full-time professional experience prior to a graduate degree, I believe that I will have the ability to complete schoolwork while retaining the flexibility to find work experience, should an opportunity arise. I find great value in both flexibility and balance in my life to healthily approach my education, family life, and career goals.
After graduation, I would love to work in marketing management -- I would enjoy applying my skills in a setting that is dynamic in both techniques and nature. I believe that I would thrive in an environment that incorporates and promotes research in tandem with creativity. Of course, intentions do not always go as planned. In the long term, I am hoping that I will simply be in a position that is intrinsically valuable, has a positive purpose, and is highly relevant to my skills and
