Admissions Essay At the age of 12 I learned that I was born into a family of shopaholics. It's not as bad as it seems when you realize that you are one too. I think of fashion as another artform, an artform that can tell a story without words. It has different meaning to different people, which makes it unique. I view myself as a young fashionista with fashion and style engraved to my heart. I don't just want to make fashion, I want to BE the fashion.
Fashion has always been my dream, but my high school life has been a different direction. I am very involved with my school competition cheer team at Gilbert High School. It has taught me many important things along the way. Being a cheerleader has taught me to work well with others and learn how to get along with different personalities. It has also taught me that it's not like every other sport, dedication and commitment is vital. Once I put my mind to something, there really isn’t any going back.

So much time and effort is put into them and everytime I walk by one I always think “ That's what I want to do, I wanna be the person who creates unique sets that will catches people's eyes”. I think of myself as a very young creative person. Wholeheartedly, I believe that I could accomplish my dream of becoming a stylist, but I dont have the technique. That is why I want to apply for the Visual Communications Major and FIDM because it will aid me learn about the technique and skills that I will need. I want to go to a school that is nurturing and can give me a comfortable learning environment but, I also want to be challenged and to be pushed by my teachers and advisors to explore all things in the fashion world and that will guide me step by step to becoming a stylist. I don't see myself doing anything else as an occupation in life. I believe that going to FIDM will help my aspiring dreams of becoming a stylist in the Fashion
