Born to Fly

There are many things that have helped mold me into the young woman I am today. My character has been greatly influenced by my family, challenges, and triumphs as I look forward to a promising future. I have always known exactly what to do and what I need to do my entire life. Since I was about four or five years old until now, I have always been considered "not fun" because I would not do anything I knew my parents would not want me doing. I learned this at such a young age, that I never really got in huge trouble for anything and never had many problems. There were clearly bumps along the road, but I have gotten over them. I seem to have my whole life figured out now, but it was not always this way.

Having friends is the most important thing to a teenage girl, especially having a best friend. I am very fortunate to have one of the greatest girls at my school as my best friend. We are so close and our friendship is solid, but it has not always been this way. We had a rough patch our sophomore year and we grew apart. Going through this time was one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with. It was almost as hard as dealing with a heartbreak. I, like every teenage girl, have had my heart broken. It makes you feel so worthless and like no one wants you. All of this was happening at the same time and it was really affecting me. To top it all off, I was so self-conscious about how other people viewed me. I got really down on myself.
